New Life
If you havent got hold of the Maverick Magazine recommended album 'New Life' yet' then please do! Due to the overall price drop in music and artists CDs in general I've lowered the price to £7.99, but Im still looking to break even...and before you ask folks - no we dont get paid for most of our gigs at the moment, so its one of the few sources of income.

Live Review
By Kevin Buxton - Kontacoustics Newsletter The Monk and Minstrel, Isham Tues 11th March (feature slot part of Kontracoustics Night)
'Always a pleasure to hear Steve, one of the hardest working musicians I know and a man absolutely dedicated to his craft. Backed by regular members of his band, Titch Vango and Mark Gill, this was a highly professional showcase of songs from Steve's great new CD
"New Life". The band was on best form and played with a tightness that can only be achieved by solid gigging. Just goes to show that the hard work does pay off. Anyway, thanks for such a passionate set, guys'Album Review
By Katy - Posted on www.northamptonbands.co.uk 'Stevie's much anticipated solo album is here at last.
I have seen Stevie play live a few times over the years at Northamptons notorious Strumpets and Pluckers Acoustic Night, and have always enjoyed it. His skill and obvious devotion to music makes for a captivating live act.
Happily, I find New Life captures all the energy of a live performance, which is no mean feat in itself.
Stevies songs seem to unashamedly salute many folk/acoustic greats. Bob Dylan, The Waterboys and many others have clearly played a part in shaping his style, but his sound is still very much his own.
The album is packed with well crafted, no nonsense folk/pop songs. Solid structures, interesting and hooky instrumental arrangements and melodies so strong that you might feel like youve known them for years after just one or two listens.
Tracks such as the Harbour Song, Affirmation, Million Miles and Wildfire instantly make me pine for the festival season the sort of life-affirmingpoignantbut positive music that goes so well with sunny days in the great outdoors.
Darker, more creative elements show themselves in tracks like Connection and New Life, the latter excellently demonstrating the real power and emotion behind Stevies vocal skills.
I like that although the album as a whole has a very definite style, each song has its own individual identity within it. The instrumentation is stylish and impressively subtle at times, and brilliantly fun and full on at others. Occasional ambient sounds and vocal effects add to the atmospheric nature of the album.
New Life is a great album for anyone who appreciates quality, finely crafted acoustic song writing. Given the current excitement surrounding independent artists and folk/acoustic music in general, the timing of its release couldnt be better. '

NEWSLETTER REVIEW (Al Tait) Aug 9th:
'Our first featured act was Stevie Jones and his Band: Mark on guitar, Tim on bass, Titch on keyboards, and their new drummer, Paul, ex Sack the Drummer no less. Five songs in the set, familiar pieces to those who’ve heard the bandover the past year, came across really well. This band have become a very tight unit, lots of musical textures, classic folk/rock bringing Stevie’s songs to life.'AUTUMN/WINTER DATES COMING IN
Includes support slot to none other than NICK HARPER @ The Musician, Leicester Fri Nov 11th!!!See 'gigs' page for tickets/details. VERY excited about this. It will be a duo gig featuring Mark and myself
